Childhood Bedroom Reclassified as Desert; Clocks Informed
Marguerite Fell, a childhood bedroom, time unspecified
The teddy bear has declined to comment.
A pastel bedroom with clouds painted on the ceiling began, at an hour nobody recorded, to soften. A wall clock sagged first. Pocket watches followed, draping themselves over a teddy bear and a wooden rocking horse as though they had always been laundry.
The pink walls gave way to sand from the bottom up. A window frame lifted out of its wall and now floats unsupported, with sky visible through it. The bed has sunk. The floor is a desert, and the desert is golden.
A doorway remains. It opens onto an endless sky. The clocks hanging from the clouds are reported to be keeping time. They are not keeping the same time.
The room has been reclassified. The clocks have been informed. PNN did not score this segment; the music was already playing.
