A local man returned from eleven days of vacation to find his position filled by a slightly better version of himself, who had started the previous Monday and was already well regarded.
Colleagues described the replacement as punctual, agreeable, and marginally taller. Payroll records show no interruption in employment, and the man's own badge continues to work, though it now opens a different door.
Human resources has asked both parties to resolve the matter between themselves and to keep it off the shared calendar.
